SiO2 Corp. and WSA Corp are pleased to announce the release of Smartrack – Digital Arms Room System. The system will be available after November 1st, 2006.

SMARTRACK – Digital Arms Room is a fully automated Armory Management system that integrates hardware, software, and a database-management system specifically to manage and track arsenal equipment in armories within the U.S. Armed Forces.

The fully integrated Digital Arms Room System is specifically designed to comply with US Army Arms Room Operations and DOD FIPS 140-2 Security Specifications.  The system is fully functional in a stand-alone environment for either a field or base deployment.  The Digital Arms Room is capable of tracking and managing an unlimited variety of weapons and weapons- related equipment, including real time information on individual weapon life cycle and maintenance states, and the duty assignments, team composition, training, and qualification of the soldiers to whom the weapons are assigned.

The SMARTRACK components are architected using Object Oriented Software Design Methodology to create a ‘Virtual Armory’ integrated into specifically designed independent relational database for governing and managing the collection, storage and retrieval of transactional weapons-related information, maintenance history, ammunition rounds fired and more. The design intent was to focus on organizing accurate information and dramatically increasing the efficiency of processing weapons and personnel without changing the operational military requirements. The software interface requires minimal free hand typing and users select information from provided lists of choices that are fully defined in the system.

The SMARTRACK System is a built around a ruggedized laptop that can be rapidly deployed as an armory management workstation for field or base deployment anywhere in the world.  The hardware system is composed of the following fully integrated components:

·        Ruggedized Laptop with Advanced RAID Technology
·        Touch Screen Monitors
·        Bar Code Scanner
·        Smart Card Reader
·        Laser Printer

Smartrack operates on Microsoft .NET / Windows Platorms / Microsoft SQL Server. Smartrack was developed with Microsoft Visual Studio.
